Blue Willow teapot that plays "Tea for Two" when you wind it up***SEE our directions below***
The winder is tight, I did have to giggle it to work it or move the straight shut off piece on the bottom to make it play. I don't know if you'd like to tinker with it or see if it's replaceable.
I did have it playing.
Bottom has small blue "Japan" sticker on it.
Approximate size is 6 1/2" Height (with lid on), 8 3/4" wide spout to handle.
No Chips or cracks, some crazing due to it's age. I'm not sure of it's age, I'm guessing 1940?
I've seen teapots very close to this for $170.00.
Shown with Green wood tray, light pink plate, cherry blossom plate, square floral plate and grapes, all our photo props only, not for sale.
*How do you use this you ask..
Gently wind your music box , set it down ( it has a small extended piece on bottom that touches the area it is set upon, this stops the music box from playing, when you lift it up to pour your water into your teacup , the music will play)
You boil your water separately, add it into the top of your teapot, place lid on to hold in the heat.
* DO NOT submerge teapot at anytime..Period
*Hand Wipe Only with damp cloth recommended
We ship orders out within one-two weeks. IF you need sooner, just let me know.
